Pharrell Williams and NIGO®, who have evolved from friends into business partners collaborating on various projects such as Louis Vuitton, have now announced their involvement in urban development.
三菱地所、東京・有楽町に「YURAKUCHO PARK」を開設
その場所は、東京・有楽町の駅前。三菱地所株式会社は、東京・有楽町駅前の「有楽町ビル」「新有楽町ビル」跡地（約1万㎡）を活用し、2026年度後半を目途に日本カルチャーの発信拠「YURAKUCHO PARK」をオープンします。
The location is in front of Yurakucho Station in Tokyo.Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. will utilize the site of the Yurakucho Building and Shin-Yurakucho Building (approximately 10,000 m²) in front of Yurakucho Station in Tokyo to open YURAKUCHO PARK, a hub for Japanese culture, in the second half of fiscal 2026.
この約1ヘクタールの敷地は、単なる再開発地ではなく、文化と都市体験が交差する“都市の舞台”として構想されています。三菱地所がこれまで進めてきた「TOKYO TORCH Park」「Marunouchi Street Park」などの公園型自治空間の発展形であり、人々が集い、交流し、感じることのできるパブリック空間を目指します。
This approximately 1-hectare site is not simply a redevelopment area, but is envisioned as an “urban stage” where culture and urban experiences intersect. It is an evolution of the park-style autonomous spaces that Mitsubishi Estate has been developing, such as TOKYO TORCH Park and Marunouchi Street Park, and aims to be a public space where people can gather, interact, and experience.
世界的クリエイターが集結：“JAPA VALLEY TOKYO”プロジェクト
この「YURAKUCHO PARK」内では、NOT A HOTEL株式会社と三菱地所が共同展開する新たなアート・商業・ホスピタリティ複合空間プロジェクト「JAPA VALLEY TOKYO」が展開されます。
このプロジェクトには、ファレル・ウィリアムス（Pharrell Williams）とNIGO®が参画。KAWSの作品をシンボルアートに採用し、アーティストとの共創による空間づくりが進行中です。
さらに、「JAPA VALLEY」はカルチャーの革新を象徴するプロジェクトで、ナパ・バレーのコンセプトを日本酒のクラフトマンシップへ置き換え、日本の食・アート・ファッションを融合した観光モデルを提示。世界に向けた日本発の都市文化発信を目指しています。
Within YURAKUCHO PARK, NOT A HOTEL Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Estate are jointly developing a new art, commercial, and hospitality complex project called JAPA VALLEY TOKYO.
Pharrell Williams and NIGO® are participating in this project. KAWS’ works have been adopted as the symbolic art, and collaborative space creation with artists is currently underway.
Furthermore, “JAPA VALLEY” is a project symbolizing cultural innovation, replacing the Napa Valley concept with Japanese sake craftsmanship, and presenting a tourism model that fuses Japanese food, art, and fashion. It aims to promote Japanese urban culture to the world.

有楽町駅前の中でも、日比谷寄りの一角――そこからもう1ブロック足を延ばせば、現在建て替え工事が進行中の「帝国劇場」が見えてきます。劇場跡地を含む「帝劇ビル」の再開発プロジェクトは、2030年の竣工を目指して進行中。100年以上にわたり日本の演劇文化を支えてきたこの歴史的拠点は、次世代の表現空間として生まれ変わろうとしています。
こうした都市の動きにより、有楽町・日比谷エリアは、日本でも屈指の地価を誇る銀座に隣接したビジネス街という枠を超え、アートやカルチャーの拠点としても進化を遂げつつあります。都市機能が高度に融合する、より魅力的でダイナミックな空間へと生まれ変わろうとしているのです。
街の表情が大きく変わろうとしているこの場所で、これからどんな文化が育ち、どんな人々が集っていくのか――その未来に、自然と期待がふくらみます。
In the area near Yurakucho Station, there is a corner closer to Hibiya. If you walk one more block from there, you will see the Imperial Theater, which is currently undergoing reconstruction. The redevelopment project for the Imperial Theater Building, which includes the theater site, is underway with the aim of completion in 2030. This historic landmark, which has supported Japanese theater culture for over 100 years, is being reborn as a space for the next generation of expression.
Driven by such urban developments, the Yurakucho-Hibiya area is transcending its role as a business district adjacent to Ginza, one of Japan’s most prestigious real estate markets, and is evolving into a hub for art and culture. It is set to be reborn as a more attractive and dynamic space where urban functions are highly integrated.
