取材の前後でのランチタイムは、日々の楽しみのひとつ。
この日は午前中に神楽坂で取材、次が六本木。いつもならばなんとなく近辺の情報を集めておくところ、取材の準備がギリギリになってしまったのでノーマーク。
この日のランチに選んだのは、中華の人気店「龍朋」。
いわゆる町中華ですが、開店5分前に前を通ったところ、その時点で7人ぐらい待ちの状況といえば熱い支持を受けていることは伝わるでしょうか。
ランチタイムが一番混むものの、回転率はかなり早め。金曜日の12時半頃では近隣の学生と会社員の人が10人ぐらい並んでいましたが、13時ころになると1人だけ。
Lunch time before and after interviews is one of my daily pleasures.
On this day, I had an interview in Kagurazaka in the morning, and my next schedule was Roppongi. Normally, I would have gathered information about the neighborhood, but since I was preparing just before the interview, I had no idea what to expect.
The restaurant I chose for lunch that day was the popular Chinese restaurant “Ryuho.
It is a so-called “Machi Chuuka (street Chinese localised in Japan),” but when I passed by the restaurant five minutes before it opened, there was a line of about seven people waiting to get in, so you can imagine the ardent support it enjoys.
Lunch time is the busiest time of the day, but the turnover rate is quite fast. Around 12:30 on Friday, there were about 10 neighborhood students and office workers in line, but by 1:00 p.m. there was only one person in line.

消毒スプレーのところにメニューがあるので、待っている間に見ておくのがおすすめ。事前の準備のためか、お店の方がオーダーを事前に聞きに出てくることもありました(私は聞かれず)。
The system is to wait in line from the front of the restaurant up the hill.
There is a menu at the disinfectant spray, so it is recommended to look at it while waiting. Sometimes the restaurant would come out to ask for your order in advance (I was not asked), perhaps because of the advance preparation.
回転率の速さのゆえんは、日替わり定食も含め、定食的なものがないこと。そして、私の目測でも9割の人が
炒飯
を頼むのです。
大盛にする人がいるという誤差はあるものの、ほぼ炒飯一択。
いろいろぐぐってみると、「東京で一番旨いチャーハン」なんて形容詞がちらほらあり、炒飯目当てに訪れる人が多いようです。
となると、私も炒飯の口になるわけで。

ごろごろと大きくカットされたチャーシュー入りの炒飯。ねぎと卵のシンプルかつ王道な構成、確かにおいしい!!!
でもスープが、謎…。炒飯って正直そんなに進んで食べるメニューではないのですが、ここまで濃いスープがついてるのは初めてでした。チャーシューを煮込むのに使っているものとか?
好き嫌いないタイプですが、2口で断念…。
炒飯は本当においしかった。
どうやらラーメンも人気のようなので、それはまた別の機会に。
2022年5月6日から価格改定があり、炒飯は800円になっています。
Fried rice with large pieces of fried pork. Simple and royal composition of green onion and egg, surely delicious!
But the soup is a mystery… To be honest, fried rice is not a menu item that I would eat so willingly, but it was the first time for me to have such a thick soup. Is it something they use to stew the chashu pork?
I am a picky eater, but I gave up after two bites….
The fried rice was really good.
Apparently, ramen is also popular, so that’s another story for another time.
There will be a price change starting May 6, 2022, and the fried rice will be 800 yen.
